How it started
Physicist and expert in polymeric materials Prof. Dr..Leonid N. Grigorov has discovered that some polymeric films which are treated in a specific way, instead of being good insulators of electrical current, contain threads superconducting at room temperature. Studies of the films have led to several PhDs. Grigorov was awarded by a fellowship of the Russian Academy of Science for outstanding scientists. He is the author of a large number of scientific papers and 22 patents.
I
nternationally recognized chemist in the areas of novel polymers, polymer formulations, functional polymers, and liquid crystal materials,
Prof. Dr.
Raisa V. Talroze with her team has developed the second generation of the superconducting polymer films. She is the author of more than 160 scientific papers in per-reviewed journals and 7 patents.
Dr. Andrei Mourachkine has developed a method of making polymeric wires superconducting at room temperature. These three scientists have established AERI Ltd, in order to develop and to manufacture wires and cables superconducting at room temperature. In 2020, AERI Ltd was re-named to AQPT Ltd. AQPT stands for Advanced Quantum Polymer Technology. AQPT Ltd is based in Cambridge, UK.
Our "normal", i.e. non-superconducting, polymeric wires are a by-product of our research. Their conductivity is comparable to the conductivity of Copper.
Dr. Andrei Mourachkine is a serial entrepreneur having business education and experience. Physicist, an expert in high-temperature superconductors. Author of two books (monographs) about superconductors, including the first book published on the subject of room-temperature superconductivity (
